Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Practitioner to work full-time within a Children and Families Assessment Team based in Thurrock. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Senior Practitioner job is £34 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Duties:

  • To ensure that all vulnerable children in need and children in care receive a service that reflects the Department's commitment to safeguarding and putting the needs of individual children first.
  • To model good practice that reflects a value based approach to working with children and their families and is child-centred.
  • To work in partnership with service users, to undertake focussed assessments, plans and reviews that have clear objectives and outcome measures.
  • To work directly with children and young people to establish their wishes and feelings, using a variety of techniques, as required.

Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:

  • Degree or equivalent in Social Work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
  • Experience of working with children and families
