Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 5 Senior Pharmacy Technician to fill a full-time role based in York or Scarborough.
The pay rate for this locum Senior Pharmacy Technician job is £20 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Main Duties:
- Have day-to-day responsibility for the supervision of and technical operation of the section / department, working independently without supervision.
- Organisation, prioritization and allocation of workload in order to ensure deadlines and targets are met.
- Counsel patients and carers for medicines to be taken as planned.
- Support the Principal Technician in ensuring that Trust Policies and Procedures are implemented and adhered to.
- Be involved with the Principal Technician and Pharmacy Operations Manager to implement and regularly review operational policies and procedures.
- To assist in providing advice and supporting staff with regard to the Pharmacy systems.
- Participate in maintaining correct stock levels in the pharmacy and works closely with other pharmacy staff to ensure correct stock levels in the relevant area and that quality of the data is of a high standard.
- Be involved in dispensing, provision of advice and counselling of patients in area of speciality, according to the need. This may include clinical trials and unlicensed medicines.
- Carry out a wide range of pharmacy technician duties, both routine and non-routine, within the section/department.
Requirements of the Senior Pharmacy Technician:
- GPHC Registration.
- Postgraduate pharmacy experience.
- May be required to work at other units in the trust.
