Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist to work in Blackheath on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.

The salary for this Occupational Therapist job is £37,672 to £40,911 per annum and is a permanent contract.

Duties:

  • To work as part of Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service multidisciplinary team for service users with complex acquired neurological impairments within an inpatient intensive rehabilitation setting
  • To provide assessment and treatment for patients with complex neurological conditions with support from clinical supervisor
  • To be able to manage own clinical caseload to a high professional standard and to seek support when required
  • To assist in departmental and service development projects
  • To provide supervision to rehabilitation technicians, volunteers and students
  • To be able to work as a named therapist

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
  • Health Professions Council - Licence to Practice
  • Registered Member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapist
  • Evidence of successful completion of relevant specialist short courses
  • Membership of relevant Special Interest Groups
  • Experience of working with adults with acquired neurological disorders
  • Experience of working with clients with challenging behaviours
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Experience of supervising junior staff
  • Experience organising and delivering therapy in group settings
  • Named Therapist/key Woking Experience
  • Be flexible and adaptable, well organised and able to manage time and workload effectively in line with the needs of the service
  • Have a legal right to work in the UK
