Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to work 2 days per week - 15 hours, based in Redhill.

The salary for this permanent Clinical Psychologist job is £37,440.00 per annum.

Duties:

  • As a qualified psychologist, assume accountability for own professional actions, exercises discretion in determining how objectives are to be achieved, and works independently on a day-to-day basis within the overall framework of the Hospital’s principles, policies and procedures, the professional codes of practice of the BPS and terms and conditions of employment
  • Provides direct clinical psychology service to patients, undertaking highly specialist psychological assessments, formulation and treatment, and provides highly specialist individual and group based psychological therapy and intervention as appropriate and required.
  • Facilitates the dissemination of effective evidence informed psychological practice within the MDT and service by supporting psychologically informed protocols, guidelines and procedures implemented by other members of the MDT.
  • Provides teaching/training sessions/programmes in psychological principles and practice for other members of the MDT.
  • Provides supervision and ‘liaison-consultation’ services to enable and support client related work undertaken by other members of the MDT.
  • Undertakes clinical governance, audit and clinical administrative activities, collecting, collating and analysing data, writing and presenting reports and undertaking project development and implementation as appropriate.
  • Uses IT equipment and software as required, including statistical, database, spreadsheet and presentational.
  • Undertakes applied research and development activities related to the needs of the patients served and the Clinical Psychology Service as a whole
  • Participates in supervision, personal appraisal and continuing professional development activities as agreed with Consultant Clinical Psychologist, including general training required in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Hospital
 

Requirements of the Clinical Psychologist:

  • Be the recipient of a British Psychological Society accredited and HCPC approved Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
  • Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC
  • To be aware of, and comply with their roles and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding vulnerable adults.
  • To report any incidents of illtreatment, either alleged or witnessed, at once to the qualified nursing staff on duty, in the first instance and also consultant psychiatrist.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and national and local policies and guidance in relation to both the specific client group with whom the post holder works and general mental and psychological health issues, and maintains knowledge of Hospital’s policies and procedures that are relevant to the post-holders roles and responsibilities.
  • Provides activity data as required as part of relevant service reviews.
  • Undertakes specific administrative duties as required
