Sanctuary Social Care has locum vacancy for a Senior Education Welfare Practitioner to work full-time based in Southwark. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Senior Education Welfare Practitioner role is £27.27 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties of Senior Education Welfare Practitioner:
- To work confidently with schools, early help practitioners and social care professionals
- To provide expert consultation and guidance in identifying families that meet the threshold for education legal planning.
- To effectively case manage and implement statutory enforcement action, using the full range of parental responsibilities measures available. The candidate will be required to carry out statutory investigations in relation to persistent non-attendance at school and prepare cases for prosecution.
Requirements of the Senior Education Welfare Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
