Senior Children’s Residential Care Worker
Location: Glossop, UK
Salary: £13.44 – £14.46 per hour (+ £66 per sleep-in)
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week, including sleep-ins)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people, supporting their care, education, and emotional needs.

  • Lead, supervise, and support junior staff, maintaining high-quality care in line with the Home’s standards.

  • Manage and oversee shifts, ensuring all staff and young people receive the necessary guidance and support.

  • Liaise with senior management and external agencies, including Local Authorities, schools, and health professionals, to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

  • Maintain accurate records and comply with policies and procedures to ensure a structured and supportive environment.

  • Promote an inclusive and positive team culture, fostering respect and equality among staff and residents.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in children’s residential care (or similar setting).

  • Experience leading shifts and teams within a residential environment.

  • Level 3/4 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential for senior roles.

  • Full-time availability (40 hours per week), including sleep-ins and residential trips.

  • Valid driving licence (manual vehicles).
