Senior Children’s Residential Care Worker
Location: Glossop, UK
Salary: £13.44 – £14.46 per hour (+ £66 per sleep-in)
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week, including sleep-ins)

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people, supporting their care, education, and emotional needs.

Lead, supervise, and support junior staff, maintaining high-quality care in line with the Home’s standards.

Manage and oversee shifts, ensuring all staff and young people receive the necessary guidance and support.

Liaise with senior management and external agencies, including Local Authorities, schools, and health professionals, to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

Maintain accurate records and comply with policies and procedures to ensure a structured and supportive environment.

Promote an inclusive and positive team culture, fostering respect and equality among staff and residents.
Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in children’s residential care (or similar setting).

Experience leading shifts and teams within a residential environment.

Level 3/4 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential for senior roles.

Full-time availability (40 hours per week), including sleep-ins and residential trips.

Valid driving licence (manual vehicles).
