Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a locum vacancy for a Social Services Senior Children’s & Adults Occupational Therapist to work 37 hours per week based in Horsham, mainly covering North of West Sussex and Mid Sussex.

The pay rate for this locum Social Services Senior Children’s & Adults Occupational Therapist job is £35 - £38 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.

Duties:

  • Provide a consistent approach to children, young people, and adults with lifelong disabilities
  • Support adults and young people moving to adulthood to be as independent as possible and live a good life as defined by them
  • Work in partnership with other professionals including, children’s and adults’ social workers, nurses, psychiatrists, and special educational needs teams
  • Undertake assessments of need (including Care Act and mental capacity assessments)
  • Work as part of a strong and dynamic service, working across the lifespan of disability, helping children, young people, and adults to live independent and productive lives
  • Undertake strengths-based assessments utilising Occupational Therapy skills and knowledge to develop and implement a plan of support, aimed at improving wellbeing and delivering outcomes
  • Work as part of a strong and dynamic service, working across the lifespan of disability, helping children, young people, and adults to live independent and productive lives
  • Undertake strengths-based assessments utilising Occupational Therapy skills and knowledge to develop and implement a plan of support, aimed at improving wellbeing and delivering outcomes
  • Advice, information, the provision of assistive equipment, and recommendations for home adaptation

Requirements of the Social Services Senior Children’s & Adults Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
