Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated SEND Caseworker to work full-time in Preston.
The pay rate for this locum SEND Caseworker job is £20.00 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
Ensure children, young people with special educational needs and their families are at the centre of all practice and processes relating to the work of the SEND teams and the Inclusion Service
Work in collaboration with children, young people, their families, education providers and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities across the local area
Support the council to fulfil its statutory duties and meet statutory requirements and timescales in relation to children and young people with special educational needs
Provide general and specific technical support for children, young people, their families and other stakeholders in relation to special educational needs
Support specific activities that address the priorities of the service and local area
Provide support and technical guidance to other professional groups in relation to special educational needs and disabilities
Requirements of the SEND Caseworker:
Degree or equivalent
Previous special educational needs experience ideally within a local authority setting
