Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated SEN Officer to fill a full-time role within Children's Service based in Oxfordshire.
The pay rate for this locum SEN Officer job is £23.46 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Manage and process statutory casework within legal and internal timelines
- Manage the assessment of children and young people with special educational needs
- Identify those requiring need assessments, coordinating assessments, writing EHC plans and arranging appropriate provision to meet children's needs
- Monitor the progress of children and young people
- Supporting and coordinating Transfer reviews of Statements to EHC plans
- Promote the successful inclusion of children and young people with SEN
- Contribute to the development of policy, procedures and provision for children with SEN
- Maintain an up to date knowledge relating to SEN casework
- Maintain and update on a regular basis, the information held on the SEN service files and databases
- Prepare and present cases on behalf of the Local Authority for SENDIST
- Monitor the work of assistant SEN officers
Requirements of the SEN Officer:
- A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work)
- Registered on Social Work England
- Management experience
