Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a permanent vacancy for a Safeguarding Screening Social Worker to work based in Wandsworth, within the Locality Team.

The salary for this permanent Safeguarding Screening Social Worker job is to be confirmed.

Visits may be required, and the worker will need to be based in the office in Wandsworth 1 – 2 days a week.

Duties:

  • 2 Safeguarding screenings on a daily basis
  • Investigate the screening and make a decision as to whether the screening meets the criteria for safeguarding, and whether it should go to S42 Enquiry
  • Ensure the service user or person is safe, which may mean referrals to MASH/MARAC/IDVa’s etc if needed

Requirements of the Safeguarding Screening Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults’ or Children’s Services
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding, and be able to work in a quick and busy environment due to time frames in which decisions need to be made around safeguarding
  • Be double vaccinated
