Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Safeguarding Manager to fill a full-time role within an Adults' Services based in Haringey, within the Adults Team.
The salary for this permanent Safeguarding Manager job is £55,017 - £58,242 per annum.
Two management vacancies within the Safeguarding team. A Safeguarding Manager who will have overall responsibility for the day to day management of the team, work closely with the DoL's Manager and report to the Head of Service for Assessment and Safeguarding.
Duties:
- Have overall responsibility for the day to day DoL's function in the council, work closely with the Safeguarding Manager and oversee the move to LPS.
- Report to the Head of Service for Assessment and Safeguarding.
- Taking part in team referrals, duty
- Attending Perform+ huddles,
- Council forums
- Liaising with other adult teams, Council services like Housing, Brokerage, Reablement, MH Trust teams, CCG's, care homes and inpatient wards to support people's health and social care needs and ensure that residents are safeguarded.
Requirements:
- A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work).
- Registered on Social Work England.
- Management experience is essential.
- Confident in all aspects of social care legislation and the community resources people can use or be referred to in Haringey.
- Be an ambitious professional wanting to progress to positions of senior management
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team, people management
- Have a sound knowledge of legislation that underpins health and social care for adults.
- Be aware of good practice guidance and standards from organisations such as ADASS, Social Work England, and CQC.
- Have good IT skills and a confident approach to a range of health and social care records, processes and systems.
