Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has permanent vacancies for Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) to work 37 hours per week based in the Isle of Wight, within the Mental Health Team.
The salaries for these permanent AMHP jobs are £37,050 - £42,050 per annum, plus rewards/benefits.
Due to the current working guidelines, we have been able to open these roles up to include remote working.
So while a full relocation to the Isle of Wight may not be required, applicants will need to be prepared to regularly visit the island to complete Mental Health Act Assessments across the island.
Duties:
- Contribute to the 24-hour rota, coordinating as well as hold a small complex caseload
- Undertake court work such as applications for s.135 or nearest relative displacement
- Consider and co-ordinate Mental Health Act assessments in a timely manner
- Maintain an AMHP warrant undertaking the legal 18 hrs relevant training per year & support AMHP trainees by undertaking the Practice Assessor role if required
- Work to s29 MHA or any other legal duty requiring court work
- Work in partnership with other agencies to endorse better outcomes
- Produce good quality AMHP reports and other agency reports that may be required
- Hold a caseload, undertake statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and other legislation and guidance
- Undertake to safeguard enquires and reviews
- Apply policies, procedures, codes of conduct and practice in a range of settings and locations as required
Requirements of the AMHPs:
- AMHP Qualification
- Registered with a relevant regulatory body, such as Social work England, HCPC and/or NMC
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults’ Services
- Full driving licence and car
