Rehabilitation Support Worker/Therapy Assistant – Brighton – £12.20 per hour Hourly, ongoing
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Rehabilitation Support Worker/Therapy Assistant. In this role, you will assist individuals with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions, providing essential support to help them live as independently as possible. The primary focus of this position is on rehabilitation and enhancing daily living skills, empowering clients to regain and maintain their independence. What you will do:
As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, your tasks will include assisting individuals to maintain and develop personal, social, and domestic skills. Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
- Support clients in their homes with personal care needs and daily living skills.
- Encourage engagement in leisure activities and foster community involvement.
- Assist with behavioural management to promote positive outcomes.
- Facilitate education and promote independence.
- Ensure safety by being meds trained, with awareness of hyperinsulinism and dysphagia being highly beneficial.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Meds Trained: Essential
- Dysphagia Training: Useful, but not essential
- Hyperinsulinemia Awareness: Desirable
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
