Small Animal RVN (Maternity Cover)
Location: Castlebar, Co. Mayo, Ireland
Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover (Starting January 2025)
Salary: €29,000 – €33,000, based on experience
About the Role
Our client, a welcoming small animal veterinary hospital in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with at least one year’s experience for a maternity cover position. You’ll join a close-knit, supportive team dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care. Situated near the stunning Wild Atlantic Way, this independent practice has been proudly serving the community since 2023.
What’s on Offer
- Competitive Salary: €29,000 – €33,000 per year, based on experience
- Hours: 40-hour work week, with flexibility for a 35-hour week for the right candidate
- Rota: 1 in 4 Saturdays with time off in lieu; 1 in 6 on-call rotation (mileage and overtime paid)
- Leave: 20 days of annual leave (pro rata)
About You
The ideal candidate will be a motivated RVN with strong clinical skills and a minimum of one year of experience. You should be comfortable working in a small, supportive team environment where patient comfort and well-being are paramount.
