Registered Residential Manager – Children’s Home (London, W1W 7LT)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (based on experience) | Full-Time | Permanent | Day shift, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our team as the Registered Manager of a Children’s Home in the heart of London. Provide clear and inspirational leadership to all staff within the home.
Manage recruitment, training, supervision, and performance of team members.
Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care and operational efficiency.
Safeguard the wellbeing and safety of all children in accordance with statutory guidelines.
Create and maintain comprehensive care plans and risk assessments tailored to each child.
Address safeguarding concerns promptly and follow appropriate protocols.
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and care standards.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in preparation for inspections.
Respond proactively to Ofsted recommendations and implement improvements where necessary.
Foster positive relationships with external stakeholders including local authorities and healthcare providers.
Collaborate with professionals such as social workers and education providers to deliver holistic support.
Represent the home at external meetings and promote its interests within the sector.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of care delivered, identifying areas for improvement.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and embed a culture of continuous learning.
Encourage innovation and share best practice across the team.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Substantial experience in a leadership role within a children’s residential setting.
Comprehensive knowledge of legislation and guidance governing children’s homes.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and child development.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
