Sanctuary Health are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Triage Registered Mental Health Nurse to fill a full-time role within a Central Access Point Team based in Leicester. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Mental Health Nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this Registered Mental Health Nurse job is £22.95 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Summary:
- The CAP team is Covid-19 response to NHS England's request that all Mental Health Trust have a single referral/access point to expedite and make easier for patients to access support.
- The CAP team currently triage all mental health referrals into Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust and within that triage decide the appropriate care pathway for the patient. Whether that be Crisis Team, CMHT, Outpatients, or Psychological Therapy Service.
- It also has access to, and knowledge base of many social prescribing resources provided by a diverse range of organisations.
- Once allocated the clinician will need to check the history check on the patient. Conduct the triage call with the patient taking into account past presentation, risk, social circumstances, triggers and current mental state.
- Documentation to a high standard accordingly within RIO systems, forwarding the necessary referrals and letters to the GP and/or original referrer with outcome.
- At all times there is support from the Duty Band 7 and other colleagues.
- We have access to on-call Consultant Psychiatrist weekdays. Many teams within LPT are nominating individuals to provide additional advice and support along those teams pathways.
Requirements of the Registered Mental Health Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent within Mental Health Nursing (RMN trained)
- NMC registration and a valid live pin
- Experience of working within a mental health hospital setting
- Systm One knowledge.
