Sanctuary Personnel are looking for a Registered Manager to join an experienced residential team to provide assessment and therapeutic parenting in Lancashire.

Our vision is to enable brighter futures for all vulnerable children and families we support. The overarching priority will be to support the young person (10 to 16yrs) in building resilience for them to achieve permanence within a foster placement; home with parents; placement with family; or by supporting them to build their independence, resulting in self-sufficiency.

This is a permanent contract with a salary of up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The successful Registered Manager will receive a holiday allowance of 28 days per year excluding Bank Holidays.

Due to the nature of the position, you must be flexible to meet urgent work needs as they arise. This will inevitably entail some work outside normal office hours.

You will be given comprehensive mentoring, support and a thorough induction as well as ongoing training and development.

The purpose of a Registered Manager

•            To be responsible for the day-to-day operation/management/monitoring and performance of an Ofsted regulated residential provision.

•            To ensure children are safeguarded at all times.

•            To ensure that the highest standards of emotional, social and physical care are met, promoting the best outcomes for young people.

•            To ensure strategic overview and vision of Therapeutic care are embedded in policies, procedures and management strategies in collaboration with residential staff and other professionals within the Innovate umbrella.

•            To deliver highly motivated leadership and development to the team for which you are responsible.

•            To develop high standards of communication with all key agencies/professionals.

•            To ensure the provision of services are delivered in a way which maximises the participation of the children and young people in our care and to respect their rights and be responsive to their wishes and views.

•            To be responsible for maintaining the financial running of the homes budget

Key Elements of the role

•            To act as Ofsted Registered Manager, deliver services which are fully compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements particularly The Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015.

•            Responsible for the effective development and delivery of high-quality residential services to children and  young people and their families which improve their outcomes.  

•            Leadership and management of a residential team, ensuring that team members work effectively with children, young people, families and all internal professionals and partner agency staff.

•            To carry out their statutory duties as determined, principally in relevant childcare legislation, children’s homes regulations and standards.

•            To ensure that all services are planned and delivered in a way that maximises participation and reflects children’s rights in relation to services being provided.

Requirements of the Level 5 Registered Manager include:

• Have at least 3 years management experience within a residential children's home

• Hold, or be working toward Level 5 in Management and Leadership

• Have experience of working with adolescents

Other Requirements:

Successful applicants will be subject to 'registered managers' process and interviews with OFSTED. Successful applicants will be expected to report a Senior Management Team and attend any relevant meetings in their capacity as the registered manager
