Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to fill a full-time role based in Southwark, within the Children's and Adult's Team.

The salary for this permanent Registered Manager job is £44,373 - £51,162 per annum.

Duties:

  • To ensure timely submission of reports and notifications to CQC and Ofsted, and be responsible for the completion and oversight of relevant records to comply with Children's Homes regulations.
  • To ensure that children, young people, and adults have their needs met and the Unit meets the standards set in the Statement of Purpose; safeguarding service users and ensuring the provision of high standards of care practice and the achievement of defined quality standards for service delivery.
  • To be responsible for the development and maintenance of care planning systems and systems for case recording in accordance with regulatory requirements; responding to complaints and investigating as appropriate.
  • To provide a capable environment for people with learning disability, autism and challenging needs, through developing the physical environment and the skills of the staff team, and strengthening the links with multidisciplinary community teams.
  • Provide necessary information, instruction, supervision and guidance to all staff in respect of implementing council policies and procedures.
  • To identify and meet the learning and development needs of staff through internal and external training delivery and maintain a record of learning and development activities and outcomes; whilst taking responsibility for identifying and meeting own training needs and professional development.

Requirements:

  • A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work).
  • Registered on Social Work England.
  • Management experience is essential.
  • Detailed current knowledge of CQC and/or Ofsted regulations Care Act 2014 and relevant legislation relating to the governance and of both Ofsted and CQC registered homes, with proven 'Ofsted and or CQC' inspection history.
  • Knowledge of current and proposed legislation relating to adult and children's homes as well of knowledge relating to safeguarding practice, mental capacity and deprivation of liberty legislation and best practice, and the principles of Personalisation and Reablement.
  • Experience of working with children, young people and adults with learning difficulties within a residential environment, including at a senior level.
  • Experience of successfully working within internal and external compliance frameworks (e.g CQC and or Ofsted).
