Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered General Nurse to work full-time within an Intensive Care Unit based in Sutton. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Nursing and be registered with the NMC.

The pay rate for this locum Intensive Care Unit Nurse jobs is £30 - £38 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and this is an ongoing contract.

Job Summary:

We are looking for Nurses who have cardio-thoracic training and training/experience in ICU. You will be looking after ventilated patients who have undergone open heart surgery for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) and valve mitral and aortic valve surgery.

Duties include:

  • Provide care for Level 2/3 patients
  • Assess patients' health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload
  • Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals' health and wellbeing need
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
  • Looking after patients on ventilators
  • Receiving patients from theatre
  • 1 to 1 nursing
  • Assisting the Multi-Disciplinary Team in planning care

Requirements of the ICU Nurse:

  • Valid NMC registration under General Nursing
  • A degree or equivalent within General Nursing
  • Experience working within a similar role would be highly desirable
