Sanctuary Personnel, a leading and award winning recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 5/6 Registered General Nurse to work based in Shrewsbury, within the Community Children’s Nursing Service.
The pay rate for this locum Registered General Nurse job is £21 - £26 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Duties:
- Providing nursing care to children and young people in their homes, school and other community settings
- Collaborative working across care boundaries
Requirements of the Registered General Nurse:
- RGN qualified
- Active NMC Registration
- Experience of working with children with acute and complex medical needs who can work 09:00 am - 17.00 pm; 4 days a week between Monday – Friday
- A flexible and proactive approach in managing a caseload of children and young people requiring a wide range of specialist nursing interventions
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work on your own initiative as part of a wider team
- Be confident & Competent in the following skills: First level registration – RN child/RSCN
- Evidence of consolidation experience post registration working within an environment supporting children and young people with both complex/acute health needs
- Previous experience in the community setting
- The ability to establish good working relationships with families and multi-disciplinary team members
- Awareness of child protection issues
- Understanding of clinical governance and risk management and their implications for the service
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in the use of IT (particularly Rio)
- Have their own car & business insurance
- Has a smartcard to be able to fulfil this position
