Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Reablement Occupational Therapist to work in Worthing on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC. This post is full time or 30 hours across 4 days only.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £29 to £34 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Duties:
- Undertake strengths based assessments and reviews; gather information, record accurately and make decisions to support the persons needs and outcomes.
- Proactively work with customers, carers, colleagues and other partners to achieve outcomes.
- Implement Occupational Therapy interventions, including prescribing assistive technology, designing adaptations to people's homes and providing information and advice to prevent, reduce or delay the need for ongoing support.
- Record all interventions in line with policy and best practice recording principles.
- Remain up to date with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures and codes of conduct, through engaging with training and development, including maintaining continuing professional development (CPD).
- Contribute to the training and development of Occupational Therapy Assistants and students.
- Ensure adults and children are safeguarded by identifying and escalating concerns where required and contributing to safeguarding enquiries.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
- 2 years' experience
- Must be a car driver
