Qualified Early Years Education Worker
Location: Islington
Contract: 6 months initially
Hours: 35 per week (shift-based, between 8:00am – 6:00pm)
Pay: £15.64 per hour (PAYE) | £20.68 per hour (Umbrella)
Enhanced Rates: Additional pay for weekends and bank holidays
Sanctuary Personnel is currently recruiting a dedicated Qualified Early Years Education Worker to support nurseries across Islington. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality childcare, fostering children’s learning, development, and wellbeing in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Duties of the Early Years Education Worker

Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times.

Deliver engaging, play-based learning that supports children’s independence, confidence, and creativity.

Support senior practitioners in planning and delivering an inclusive, child-centred curriculum.

Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote strong partnerships and ensure smooth transitions.

Participate in assessments and multi-agency working (CAF, TAC) where required.
Requirements of the Early Years Education Worker

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Practice.

Substantial experience within an early years setting, including key person responsibilities.

Valid right to work in the UK, enhanced DBS, and two professional references.

Ability to travel independently (a driving licence is desirable but not essential).
