Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Band 6 Prison Registered Mental Health Nurse to work full-time within a Prison based in Nottinghamshire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of prison nursing and be registered with the NMC.
The pay rate for this locum Prison Registered Mental Health Nurse job is £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and this role is a 3-month contract.
Service users will have been in contact with the mental health, substance misuse or primary care teams at the prison. Interventions are based on the principles of a Critical Time Intervention approach. A range of psycho-social interventions are used to enhance the likelihood of a successful transition from prison to the community.
Requirements of the Prison Registered Mental Health Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in general nursing
- Current NMC registration
- Must have prison clearance and experience
- Will need to be able to use System One
- Must have current security clearances
