Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a role for a Principal Development Surveyor in Manchester. Mixture of office and remote working.
The pay rate for this role is £400 per day (Ltd) and has an initial 12-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Provide strategic leadership for continuous improvement within client services that embraces corporate priorities and initiatives.
- Ensure effective communication through high quality reports, informal briefings and presentations to City Council Committees, elected Members, MPs and organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors.
- Through matrix management arrangements, deliver key Council priorities and initiatives with staff resources deployed accordingly.
- Ensure that City Council corporate requirements are consistently met, including for business planning, performance management and budget monitoring.
- Lead accountability for the implementation of business improvement processes and the proper application of relevant corporate policies across client services.
- Oversee the management of a small team of surveyors and technical staff within the Development Team.
Requirements of the Principal Development Surveyor:
- A fully qualified chartered surveyor with significant post qualification development experience.
- Track record of successful management of high profile, high value schemes in a property environment.
- Knowledge of the property market and the role the City Council plays in regeneration.
- Experience in complex valuation, development and regeneration projects and demonstrable evidence of delivering successful outcomes.
- An enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 12 months is desirable but not essential
