Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker/Practice Supervisor to work full-time in Oxfordshire, within the Adults Safeguarding Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Practice Supervisor job is £33.50 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
This is a supportive team who are very passionate about safeguarding vulnerable adults.
Duties of the Practice Supervisor:
- Carry out safeguarding enquiries in accordance with the Care Act 2014, local procedures and within the principles of 'making safeguarding personal', Where required, to act as a Safeguarding Manager.
- Identify and apply legal and professional knowledge and skills, balancing protection and risk using relevant decision-making and intervention to protect those at risk whilst promoting individuals to manage their own risk.
- Provide supervision to Social workers in the team. participate in the duty rota and make timely decisions on safeguarding contacts.
- To have an overview of performance and to escalate concerns where needed.
Requirements of the Practice Supervisor:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
