Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Work Practice Manager to fill a full-time role within an Adults' Service based in Lambeth in an Older People Physical Disability Team.
The pay rate for this locum Practice Manager job is £33.11 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent).
Duties:
- To provide line management of front-line operational services which includes the provision a comprehensive assessment and case management service to vulnerable adults. In exceptionally complex cases this will include casework with service users and carers.
- To deliver ongoing improvements in practice and standards of work through the application of specialised knowledge and skills.
- To lead on the delivery of safe services for services users, including investigating, chairing and reviewing adult safeguarding episodes as appropriate.
- To manage a group of Social workers, Assessors and ancillary staff within the team, deputising for the Team Manager as required.
- To contribute to developing imaginative strategies to implement local and national policies (e.g. self-directed care), both in directly managed cases and in assisting others.
- The post holder must be pro-active in promoting anti-discriminatory practices and supporting council policy. Managing up to 8 Social Workers/Assessors.
- Support the delivery of high-quality Adult Social Care services.
- Manage performance issues and maximise team outputs. We want an intelligent and adaptable practitioner with experience of community Physical Disability and Older Persons work.
- The worker will need a solid understanding and experience of Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Requirements:
- A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work).
- Qualified HCPC registered Social Worker
- Management experience is essential.
