Sanctuary Social Care has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Practice Manager to fill a full-time role within a Family Support and Protection Team based in Bognor Regis.

The salary for this permanent Practice Manager job is £47,351 - £50,725 per annum.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Drive to improve quality of services to secure improved outcomes for children & young people.
  • Manage and deliver a high quality seamless service to children and their family and/or carers through a team, meeting service users' needs in the most economic, efficient and effective way.
  • Lead motivate, nurture and manage a team (social workers and unqualified staff), to deliver a children's social care service on a day to day basis.
  • Responsible for ensuring the service provided is effective and delivering the required outcomes, as well as ensuring cases are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for performance management of the individual and the team, ensuring that the team as a whole contributes to Children's Services priorities and maintains good outcomes for children.
  • The role will develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across WSCC, partner agencies and the voluntary and profit making sectors in order to improve outcomes for individual children and young people.
  • In regulated services, the role is responsible for ensuring that regulations and guidance are adhered to by front line workers and that national minimum standards are met.
  • Responsible for informing the Group Manager of resource issues that may impede the team's ability to meet its targets.
  • Deliver the effective operation of a service through the management of a team or of an activity across teams, also operating as the principal professional in regard to that activity or team service. This will include the performance management of the team or the service activity and the co-ordination, planning and delivery of agreed activities and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and shape of future team or group service provision.
  • Build and maintain relationships and influence activities including working across and outside of the organisation.
  • Manage by performance and quality assure the work of their teams.
  • Responsible for effectively managing resources and budgets in collaboration with others and key stakeholders and the co-ordination, planning and delivery of agreed activities and objectives.

Requirements Practice Manager:

  • A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work).
  • Registered on Social Work England.
  • Management experience is essential.
  • Previous experience working in a similar team is essential.
