Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Practice Manager to fill a full-time role within a Connected Persons Service based in Northampton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Children Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Practice Manager job is £35 per hour (assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Summary:
- As a Practice Manager you will work with and supervise the social workers to ensure that cases are allocated appropriately and that both Initial Viability Assessments and Connected Persons Assessments (Coram BAAF Form C) are completed on time and in accordance with Court and Fostering Panel timescales.
- You will also be responsible for quality assuring these assessments to ensure that they are professionally undertaken and of a good quality.
- An understanding of Fostering Regulations, Fostering National Minimum Standards and Care Planning and Placement Regulations would be beneficial for this role.
- You will also be expected to work very closely with colleagues from Safeguarding, Children in Care Teams and the Case Progression Team in order to ensure that assessments are completed on time and as required.
- This involves having a focus on Safeguarding matters as well as on embedding the Signs of Safety approach.
- A need to track cases effectively to ensure compliance is also a key part of this role.
Requirements of the Practice Manager:
- A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree/Diploma in Social Work).
- Current Social Work England registration
- Management experience is essential.
