Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Practice Lead to work full-time within a Children's Residential Care Service based in Guernsey. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Practice Lead job is £33,137 - £34,662 per annum.
Summary:
- Provide support and deputise for the Home Manager to ensure the physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural and educational needs of the children in their care are met.
- You will ensure the creation and support of an ethos that allows the staff team to deliver care to children and young people that is child centred, nurturing, consistent, proactive and promotes recovery.
- Support the Home Manager in being responsible for promoting equal opportunities for all and challenging any behaviour or practice which discriminates against any young person or colleague on the grounds of race, religion, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation or any other perceived difference.
Requirements of Practice Lead:
- A recognised and relevant professional social work qualification (Degree / Diploma in Social Work).
- Registered on Social Work England
- Hold a VQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Hold or currently working towards a VQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, a degree in Social Work or an equivalent subject in Children's Social Care is desirable.
