Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for a Placement Officer to work in North Kent on a full-time basis, within the Fostering Team.
The salary for this role is £20,500 per annum.
Duties include:
- To undertake a range of work either directly with carers and the placing authorities and supporting foster carers.
- To support the placement and support team in working In the needs of the children and exploring and matching children to carers.
Requirements of the Placement Officer:
- Experience within a similar role
- Able to communicate consistently and effectively and respond to changing circumstances in order to enhance Anchor's reputation
- Able to lead in managing relations with local authority placements teams
- Able to read referral documents quickly, spotting key information and use to inform initial matching decisions
- At least 1 year working in a fostering service or similar setting
- Experience of working with looked after children
- Experience of supporting foster carers
- NVQ Level 3 Childcare qualification (willingness to undertake or equivalent)
- GCSE/O level English Language at least grade B

- Annual Salary - Competitive, Paid monthly in arrears

- Business mileage: 45p/mile paid on a travel expenses claims basis

- Bonuses - Anchor does not operate individual performance bonus schemes for all staff. Bonuses based on overall agency performance and director's discretion are sometimes paid
- Pension - 3% Employer Contribution, 5% Employee Contribution. Anchor operates a Workplace Pension Scheme with OPT Pensions.
