Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Physiotherapist to work full-time based in Blackpool, within the Long Covid Team.

The pay rate for this locum Physiotherapist job is £27 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 1-month contract.

Main Duties:

  • To work as a member of the Long Covid Rehabilitation Team, providing support via digital and virtual platforms as well as face-to-face rehabilitation.

  • To work as a member of the Long Covid Team in undertaking advanced holistic assessment of patients.

  • To work seamlessly across primary and secondary care boundaries

  • To work across the different aspects of service delivery and to engage flexibly with patients within the various elements of the service. To utilise different mediums including, digital, virtual, and face to face.

  • The development of links with patients and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient pathways are robust and fit for purpose.

  • Implementation of National and local policy directives.

  • Participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) working.

  • Provision of specialist advise and education to colleagues and other members of the MDT.

  • Triaging referrals to the Post Covid Syndrome Pathway and discussing these with the MDT to ensure all clients receive intervention from the most appropriate services.

  • Assessing patients through virtual means independently, making autonomous decisions in the clinical assessment of patients with complex health and social care needs.

  • Agreeing goal orientated programmes in conjunction with the client, his/her family and other professionals involved and planning and implementing appropriate intervention.

  • Regularly monitoring and reviewing client progress using the ‘Your Covid Recovery’ online platforms.

Requirements of the Physiotherapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Physiotherapy.

  • HCPC registered as a Physiotherapist.

  • Recent post-qualifying experience working as a Physiotherapist.
