We are currently looking for experienced and dedicated Band 6 Intermediate Care Physiotherapists to work full-time in Luton. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of physiotherapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for these locum Physiotherapist jobs are £23-£24 per hour (Assignment rate) and are ongoing contracts.
Duties of the Physiotherapist:
Understand the principles underpinning Intermediate Care and to promote and work using a patient-centred approach.
To assess the needs of patients and provide rehabilitation programmes and equipment as agreed within the patient's own home and the community rehabilitation unit.
Provide professional advice to both team members and colleagues in other organisations.
To establish and maintain effective communication links and working relationships with other agencies and organisations involved in the provision of community care.
Develop supervisory skills for use with junior staff and therapy technicians.
To comply with national & local standards and policies. Contribute to the development of local policy as required.
Take a lead on identified clinical governance projects and be involved in audit & research as appropriate.
Requirements of the Physiotherapists:
Degree or equivalent within Physiotherapy
HCPC registered as a Physiotherapist
Recent post qualifying experience working as a Physiotherapist
Must be a car driver
