Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 4 Pharmacy Technician to fill a full-time role based on the Isle of Lewis.
The pay rate for this locum Pharmacy Technician job is £24 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
An accommodation allowance of £25.00 for 14 days per night is offered, then £18.00 per night thereafter. The accommodation complex is a short five-minute walk from Hospital grounds. Single accommodation consists of individual bedrooms, within shared flats and houses. Otherwise, there are rental opportunities via the local estate agents on the island. One return journey/flight will also be paid for if the Locum stays in the position for more than 2 months.
Main Duties:
- Day to day working in the Dispensary service with a team ensuring all work complies with ‘Medicine, Ethics and Practice A Guide for Pharmacists’ (produced by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain) – current edition and local approved dispensary procedures.
- Day to day working on the Ward Technician service provided to wards ensuring all work complies with local procedures ensuring the timely delivery of pharmaceuticals to the wards for patient treatment and/or discharge from hospital.
Requirements of the Pharmacy Technician:
- GPHC Registration.
- Post graduate pharmacy experience.
- Hospital experience is essential.
