Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to work full-time based in Norwich. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Pharmacy and be registered with the GPHC.
The salary for this permanent Pharmacy Technician job is £21,892 - £24,157 per annum (Assignment rate).
Job Summary:
- The potholder is a qualified Pharmacy Technician who performs a range of work activities which are primarily routine, or predictable, based on a broad foundation from which further skill development is possible.
Responsibilities:
- To undergo training for other specialised duties for example POD/SAMPOD, CD work etc. (this list is not exhaustive).
- To receive training in patient counselling associated with dispensary duties.
- To (if requested) supervise work of Student Pharmacy Technician(s) and Pharmacy Support Workers.
- To ensure that personal competencies are achieved and maintained
- To work in a neat, orderly, safe and efficient manner.
- To follow departmental procedures.
Requirements of the Pharmacy Technician:
- Must be registered on the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician
- Must have a relevant qualification in pharmacy
- NVQ 3 in Pharmacy or equivalent.
- Member of General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Committed to continuing professional development
- Experience in hospital or primary care.
- Can demonstrate achievement of personal and Service objectives.
- Understands the implications of the NHS Plan, NHS modernisation and quality improvement agenda including
- National Service Frameworks and NICE guidelines
- Knowledge of the law and guidance relating to good practice in prescribing, storage and handling of medicines.
