Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Personal Advisor to work full-time in Leicester City. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Personal Advisor job is £16.00 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.


About the job:

  • Team office base, in the homes work & education placements of young people in care & care leavers


Requirements of the Personal Advisor:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • I.T skills, including proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, databases and Internet
  • Good written communication skills to write letters and compose basic reports
  • Effective verbal communication skills with both young people and adults
  • Ability to work constructively with other agencies, both statutory and voluntary, in order to progress intervention with families
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Level 2/3 in Youth Work, recognised qualification in Child Care, OR able to demonstrate equivalent level of relevant experience
  • Able to work unsocial, out of normal office hours as and when required e.g. to make visits out of Leicester etc
  • Mobility to visit various locations across the City to undertake duties of the post
  • Full driving licence with use of own car
