Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Panel Advisor to work within the Adoption Service full-time in Medway. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.

The salary for this Panel Advisor job is £35,541 - £44,218 per annum and is on a permanent basis.

Requirements of the Panel Advisor:

  • Degree in Social Work, CQSW/DipSW or equivalent
  • Registration as a social worker with the HCPC
  • Extensive post qualification experience
  • Experience as an adoption team manager or someone who has more senior management experience
  • Experience of adoption
  • Substantial experience of family placement and work with children and families including complex cases
  • Experience of successful inter-agency working
  • Experience of care planning policy and standards
  • An understanding of the implementation of Adoption & Fostering Regulations and National Standards
  • Ability to quality assure through supervision, case audit and review
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write and present clearly for a wide range of audiences
  • Expertise and understanding of child development and attachment theory
  • Ability to interpret and analyse statistical and written information
