Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to work in Tooting. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Paediatric Occupational Therapist job is £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Job Summary:
- Highly Specialised Paediatric Occupational Therapist responsible for providing child and family centred care in an acute inpatient paediatric setting.
- To work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) for children admitted to the general paediatric wards, PICU and NNU. The caseload predominantly consists of children with complex needs following major illness such as trauma, acquired brain injury and neuro-surgery, children with long-term ventilation requirements, and children with short-term needs following orthopaedic procedures and acute medical episodes.
- The post holder will work to facilitate safe and timely discharge through early rehabilitation, and extensive liaison with other agencies and services to promote smooth transitions between hospital and home, and between specialist and local services.
Requirements of the Paediatric Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post-qualification
- 2 Years' experience
