Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a job based in Wallasey for a Social Work Operation Lead to work within the Assessment & Intervention Team.

The pay rate for this locum Operation Lead job is £350 per day and is an initial 3-month contract.

Requirements of the Operation Lead:

  • Social Work qualification e.g. Degree in Social Work; Dips or equivalent Health and Social care qualification
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Able to promote high standards of practice in Children and Families Work
  • Ability to develop performance monitoring systems that ensure consistently high-quality Social Work practice
  • Ability to manage, lead, develop and support staff
  • Supervision of mangers
  • Ability to engage with children, young people, and their families
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people both verbally and in writing, as individuals and in groups
  • Ability to prioritise and delegate work across teams to ensure multiple deadlines are met
  • Ability to analyse complex information
  • Ability to write reports and present this to professional groups
  • Ability to analyse performance information
  • Ability to quality assure Social Work, including assessments, care plans and Court directed work
  • Decision making skills, and ability to manage risk
  • Ability to make decisions, manage risk, influence, and negotiate with others
  • Ability to organise and plan tasks, meeting agreed timescales and respond to competing priorities
  • Ability use resources effectively, including budget management
  • High level of IT literacy
  • Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and professionalism
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, and government guidance pertaining to children and families
  • Knowledge of Working Together
  • Knowledge of regulatory framework used to judge LA (i.e. Ofsted)
  • Knowledge of what good performance looks like
  • Knowledge, and skills in valuing diversity
  • Extensive experience of Children and Families work gained in statutory settings
  • Extensive experience of working collaboratively with partner agencies within a Social Care Setting
  • Substantial experience of managing others through working at team manager level or above
  • Experience of supervising staff within a Social Care environment
  • Proven experience of workload management
  • Experience of developing systems to support and improve social workers practice
  • Experience of producing complex reports and presenting information to a range of bodies including senior managers
  • A Satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check
