Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant Team Manager to work based in Sutton.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist Assistant Team Manager job is £36 per hour (assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Provide professional supervision for the Social Workers in the Locality Team - offer professional advice on complex cases, undertake annual appraisals and undertake case file audits as required and to identify continuing professional development and training needs of the social care staff supervised by the post holder and to work with the Locality Manager to meet these needs.
Deputise in the absence of the Health and Social Care Locality Team Manager for certain agreed responsibilities, including providing supervision and guidance as appropriate to the OT, Senior Social Worker and Health staff within the team.
Hold a caseload of a high level of complexity and provide case management, guidance, support and expert advice to social care staff, students, and partner staff as and when required, maintaining the highest level of professional service.
Monitor implementation of packages of care and support and adjust them as appropriate and to ensure that individual care packages, including funding arrangements for any services, are thoroughly reviewed in accordance with statutory requirements and Departmental policy to ensure provision of best value.
Facilitate service user choice and empowerment through promoting independence and the personalisation agenda through all stages of assessment as well as review to enable service users maintain independence for as long as possible and to provide advice, information and guidance to service users and carers where appropriate.
Undertake statutory intervention where service users are deemed to be at risk, including situations where people may be neglected or abused in accordance with the Inter-Agency Policy and Procedures for Safeguarding Adults and to chair protection of vulnerable adults meetings where required.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy.
HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.
Minimum two years post qualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
