Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to work in Wandsworth on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapy Assistant job is £15 - £18 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month ongoing contract.
Duties:
- Provide functional assessments of needs and environmental assessments
- Identify eligible needs and provide clients with information and advice
- Make recommendations for the provision of equipment and adaptations to promote well-being and independence in accordance with the Care Act 2014
Requirements of the Occupational Therapy Assistant:
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post-qualification
- 2 years' experience
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage your own caseload is essential
- Must have a good working knowledge of minor OT equipment and adaptations
- At least 2 years of equipment provision experience.
- Minor adaptation experience is advantageous.
