Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a locum role for a Band 7 Neuro Occupational Therapist to work full-time based in Ealing, within the Rehabilitation Team.

The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £29-£30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.

Main Duties:

  • To provide a high quality efficient Occupational Therapy service to Neurology in-patients admitted to the neurological rehabilitation ward at Clayponds Hospital.
  • To take a lead role in the advanced assessment and treatment of patients within this speciality who may have complex acute and/or chronic presentation, and to determine clinical diagnosis and Occupational Therapy treatment.
  • Work alongside the Lead Physiotherapist in planning, developing, delivering and evaluating the therapy service provided to General Medical Rehabilitation patients.
  • Ensure the service provision supports the objectives of the Trust.
  • To lead and promote high professional standards contributing to relevant policy making.
  • To work closely with the Service Manager/Therapy Lead in contributing to the overall management, provision, evaluation and development of the General Medical Therapy in-patient team.
  • To attend relevant service development meetings in order to receive and share professional information and support, thus ensuring an equitable standard of service across services.
  • To manage own caseload including assessment, treatment and support of clients applying specialist skills re assessment and treatment within the General Medical Rehabilitation care remit.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy and HCPC registered
  • At least two years of experience either pre or post qualification
