Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a job based in Oxford for a Band 6 Mental Health Occupational Therapist to work within the You Matter Project.

The pay rate for this locum Mental Health Occupational Therapist job is £27 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.

Duties:

  • Carry out the mental health assessments of clients / staff members who contact the staff mental health and wellbeing hub, known as You Matter
  • Manage, formulate and implement treatment plans, delivering care under the clinical model
  • Evaluate effectiveness whilst working within the team process and Risk Assessment
  • Assess, plan, set goals with the clients / staff members, carer and families; implement and evaluate care using psycho-social interventions and skills to meet individual needs
  • Be responsible for monitoring and evaluating treatment plans, transferring clients / staff members to the treatment function, other teams within the Trust, or discharging them when appropriate
  • Liaise and establish good working relationships with referring agents, colleagues in Primary Care services, Social Services, Community Mental Health Teams, Occupational Health, Professional Bodies, Voluntary Sector and other agencies as appropriate
  • Be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and to attend case management supervision and other work led meetings as required
  • Maintain clients / staff members confidentiality in delivery of treatment packages
  • Respect the needs of clients / staff members, their families and other significant persons in care planning and management, including assisting them in meeting their needs
  • Follow agreed practice guidelines and ensure that, where possible, clients / staff members are cared for in the least restrictive environment

Requirements of the Mental Health Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
