Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Band 6/7 Learning Disability Occupational Therapist to work based in Hastings.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £25-£30 per hour (assignment rate) and is a 6-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Triaging OT/Generic referrals to the team.
- Participating in initial assessment clinics which involves completion of a thorough assessment of someone’s physical/functional and mental health.
- Having a case load of individuals requiring specific OT input (this will be allocated depending upon skills and experience).
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- Recent post qualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist, including experience in Learning Disabilities and/or autism (a broad clinical experience in other areas such as mental health/falls assessment and prevention may be acceptable for the right candidate).
- Knowledge and familiarity with MOHO model and assessments or sensory integration training and experience if possible.
- Understanding or experience of working with individuals with complex behaviour.
- Experience of falls assessments and HOMEFAST.
- Good overall background in understanding both implications of physical health & mental health on an individual’s functioning and wellbeing.
