Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to work full-time based in Retford, within the Mental Health Team.
The pay rate for this locum Community Occupational Therapist job is £25 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Main Duties:
- To be responsible for undertaking health and social needs assessments and co-ordinate care for clients.
- To work across agencies to establish care for the individual living in their own community.
- To be responsible for supervision of non-registered staff and pre-registration students.
- To participate in the wider IHTT clinical developments, service planning and evaluation.
- To work within a specialist service that provides assessment, active therapy, treatment, and the opportunity for recovery, working to an individually tailored care plan. It will provide a flexible, creative client-centred approach to enable the older person with mental health difficulties to engage in services.
- The service will be delivered in people’s own homes and endeavour to prevent unnecessary admission to hospital or residential care. It will also facilitate opportunity for people to return home following a hospital admission or period in residential care.
Requirements of the Community Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- Recent post-qualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
- Full driving licence and access to personal vehicle.
