Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 CAMHS Occupational Therapist to work Night shifts Monday-Thursday based in Newark. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £33 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.

The service will be for young people under the age of 18 who are admitted to hospital due to self-harm and young people who are experiencing a crisis in their mental health of such a degree that without the intervention of the CAMHS CRHT service inpatient psychiatric care would be required.

Duties:

  • They will be expected to participate in the provision of specialist mental health assessments, including hospital self-harm and psychiatric assessments. They will also be expected to deliver high-quality intensive home treatment packages of care which are evidence-based and in line with current government and research evidence
  • Alongside the team's assessment and home treatment functions there will also be an in-reach function working to support young people who are admitted into psychiatric inpatient services with leave periods and facilitating a more timely discharge


Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience either pre or post-qualification
  • Must be a car driver
  • Inpatient psychiatric care experience would be required
