Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced Band 6 Mental Health Occupational Therapist to work full-time based in Tower Hamlets.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist role is £27.50 per hour (assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Main duties:
- Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs using evidence based/client centred principles.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, with particular emphasis on Millharbour/Rosebank Psychiatric Intensive Care/Low secure Unit, in coordination with other members of the Multi-disciplinary and occupational therapy team.
- Take a lead in linking with an acute in-patient ward and the OT department at the Tower Hamlets Centre for Mental Health.
- Work in community and in-patient settings.
- Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of OT services within Tower Hamlets Centre for mental health.
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust OT Service.
- Regularly supervise OT students on practice placement and provide supervision to junior staff.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in occupational therapy
- Recent UK postgraduate experience
- Qualified and HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
