Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a locum role for a Band 6 Mental Health Occupational Therapist to work full-time in Tower Hamlets.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £26 - £27 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Duties:
- To promote recovery and social inclusion.
- To regularly supervise OT students on practice placement and provide supervision to junior staff.
- To contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust OT Service
- To manage a caseload of clients with complex needs using evidence based/client centred principles.
- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, with particular emphasis on Millharbour/Rosebank Psychiatric Intensive Care/Low secure Unit, in coordination with other members of the Multi-disciplinary and occupational therapy team.
- To take a lead in linking with an acute in-patient ward and the OT department at the Tower Hamlets Centre for Mental Health.
- To work in community and in-patient settings.
- To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of OT services within Tower Hamlets Centre for mental health.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post-qualification
