Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work in East Kent on a full-time basis, within the Primary Care Mental Health Specialist Service.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £27 - £29 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Duties:
- Support practice staff in the management of Mental Health conditions in Primary Care
- Support the effective ‘navigation’ of patients through the various mental health systems and services
- Ensure that local voluntary sector, health, and social care provision are used effectively
- Provide assessment, follow up, therapeutic treatment groups and/or depot clinics for patients seen within primary care
- Support recovery by pro-actively enabling medically stable individuals to move from secondary to primary care
- Facilitate treatment groups in keeping with NICE guidelines and specific conditions in Primary Care
- Support Primary Care initiatives which improve the physical health outcomes of those with a long-term
- Work as Primary Care Mental Health Specialist in a variety of community settings where there is a requirement to make decisions spontaneously, within local policies and guidelines
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
