Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work in Southwark on a full-time basis, with a focus on mental health. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £25.00 - £27.00 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Provide assessments and treatment for people, aged 18-65, who have an acute psychiatric illness requiring 24-hour hospital care
- Facilitate stepped care to a less restrictive option where indicated
- Assess service users daily and either transfer individuals to adult inpatient acute wards or step down to Home Treatment Team or appropriate community service
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post-qualification
