Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work in Leytonstone on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £25 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract. The candidates working hours are 37.5 hrs a week Monday to Friday. They need to be able to work mix of early (8am - 4 pm) and late (10 am - 6 pm ) shifts.
Duties:
- Competent in the following :
- Assessment
- Treatment
- Discharge planning in acute care of the elderly
- Medical wards in a busy hospital
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post-qualification
- Experience working in an acute NHS hospital within an MDT
- Good communication skills
- Knowledgeable in equipment provision for safe discharge
- Previous experience supervising therapy staff
